What a bunch of TWATs

It’s time for another glimpse underneath the skirt of the game that is being hyped as the second most anticipated Northern Irish iPhone game release in 2010 – Hector ‘Badge of Carnage’. This time we get to have sneak peek at the finely tuned justice serving machine that is the Clappers Wreake Tactical Weapons and Tactics Unit, or TWAT for short.

Hector TWAT Badge of Carnage

This lean, mean crime fighting machine is called out to deal with the Terrorist situation that has developed in Clappers Wreake in the first installment of the Badge of Carnage series of iApps from Straandlooper Animation. In this exclusive artwork by game designer Dean Burke we see the well oiled unit of highly trained individuals who call themselves TWATs. Hector: Fat Arse of the Law, on the other hand is simply a twat who is frequently well oiled. You can see clips of the TWATS in action here in the first of a number of exclusive previews of the game that will be getting released over the coming weeks on YouTube in the build up to the launch of the game. Much like an expectation mother who has just been for a vindaloo, the release date could be here any day, so keep checking back here for more details.

New Hector iApp – “It Farts Retinas”

High Praise indeed! We have had some great responses to the launch of the Hector ‘Badge of Carnage’ trailer on YouTube but none better than the review that we got on FunTouch – a French review site.

Hector FunTouch iPhone Badge of Carnage

Now my French isn’t up to much. On a recent trip to France my best attempt at entering into a dialogue with the locals was to put on my best French accent while speaking in broken English. That said I am pretty sure that I know how to say that I have a pet rabbit and I could probably order you milky coffee and my pièce de résistance is propositioning a young French lass to see if she wants to sleep with me ‘ce soir’. Suffice to say, I have never slept with a French woman, or had a pet rabbit for that matter, but I did manage to translate the comment that bllaaa left about the game.

Hector Badge of Carnage Review

I did have to use an online translator to be fair, but who could have imagined that the review would be quite so eloquent. According to the translator the review state:

‘Wahhh, graphically, it farts retinas. A game I will watch closely, this is on’

We could not have wished for a better review than this and I think that it is testament to the job that Dean Burke did in designing the game. I think that he had hoped that the game would fart an iris, maybe even a cornea if we were lucky, but to be be farting retinas at this stage is just fantastic.

So if you want to see what a farted retina looks like be sure to check out the Hector ‘Badge of Carnage’ game, soon to be released on iTunes.
